We won by 281 votes. Every bit of energy you gave made the difference yesterday.

Thank you to every voter, precinct captain, sign waver, and person who bugged their friends to no end about how important this election was.

Thank you for working hard, knocking doors, making phone calls, and ensuring your family and neighbors got to the polls.

It all paid off.

This is an exciting moment for me, and I’m thrilled to share it with so many of you.

On April 3rd, The Alliance for Good Government hosted a candidate forum and threw its support behind Council at-Large Candidate Stacy Head.

Early voting for the Council-at-Large election begins Saturday, April 7th and runs until April 14th.

The polls are open from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm daily, except Sunday.

You must bring a Louisiana Driver’s License, Louisiana Special ID or other official picture ID when you vote early in person. If you do not have a picture ID, be prepared to bring other proof of residency such as a utililty bill, and be prepared to fill out an affidavit.

Parking is available at City Hall on LaSalle and Perdido Streets, only where indicated. Voters may enter City Hall from the main entrance on Perdido Street and the back entrance on Poydras Street.

While an advocate for economic development, Head is also a staunch preservationist (she volunteers at the Preservation Resource Center). A budget hawk, she also has supported more resources for both the district attorney’s office and the public defender’s office.”
